Schlick 2000 is small and almost all its slopes are gathered on a hillside and parallel to each other.
The cable car and the Panoramabahn chair are quite slow, the rest of the ski lifts are adequate, but without much ostentation.
The price is within the average, an adult pays 32.7€ per day, there are different discounts depending when you start skiing.
It is reached following during 12 min the road 183, that starts on Schönberg im Stubaital. You have to pay a toll of 3€ for entry and 3 for leave the valley (independent of the vignette). Schlick has only one freeride route marked, in the trees area below the Panoramabahn chair. However, it is a ski resort with many freeride possibilities in the forest, so it can be a fun and safe option for days of heavy snowfall.
The landscape is the best attraction, the Kalkkögel is a very beautiful area and different to the type of mountains that are near.
Schlick is in the shade, it is located in a very narrow valley at the foot of the Kalkkögel so it is very dark in the months of December and January when the sun does not shine all day, so beware of very cold days. In addition, the ski resort has hiking or ski mountaineering routes in winter.

The best:

  • You can ride from the highest area of the station to the base, with a 1200m of altitude difference.
  • The blue slopes are very long and fun.
  • The views of the Kalkkögel.
