Seefeld Gschwandtkopf

Gschwandtkopf is a small ski resort with easy pistes, perfect for beginners and families. It is located within the Olympiaregion Seefeld, besides Rosshütte, well known internationally, which offers a wide variety of winter sports.

5km of only blue slopes.
It is a very easy ski resort. Although all the slopes are blue, there are large differences between them, being the beginner’s area, at the base of the ski resort, much easier than the others.
Gschwandtkopf only has blue slopes, although these are situated on two hillsides, increasing a little the diversity in terms of landscape.
The lifts are suitable. It only has a slow chairlift and several T-lifts that look quite new.
The adult ticket is 40.50€ per day in high season, very expensive. There is also a pass for all Seefeld ski resorts, Happy Ski Card, for only 44.50€. It is worthwhile, since the ski resorts are small and connected by free buses, so you can visit several in a single day.
Seefeld can be reached by train, from where we can go to Gschwandtkopf by free buses or walking approximately in 15 minutes. The access by car is also easy, by the road that connects Innsbruck with Garmisch.
Gschwandtkopf does not have marked freeride areas, although you can explore the forest area and get away a little from the ski resort to find good descents.
Gschwandtkopf is located in quite low mountains and surrounded by a lot of forest. The views are very beautiful, from the upper area you can see Seefeld, the whole valley and the mountains around it, especially beautiful when it is snowy.
The town of Seefeld is well known internationally, has many facilities and good atmosphere. In addition, you can practice other sports, it has a swimming pool, ice skating rink, cross-country skiing trails and biathlon and ski jump. You can see the ski jump from the Gschwandtkopf slopes.

The best:

  • The views to Seefeld when it is snowy are very beautiful.
  • We think it is a good place to learn to ski.
  • Seewald area is quieter and the piste is fun.
