Seefeld Rosshütte

Rosshütte is a small and easy ski resort, one of the favorites of the area by the beginners. The ski resort stands out for being surrounded by forest and for its beautiful views. It is located within the well-known Olympiaregion Seefeld, besides Gschwandtkopf, which offers a wide variety of winter sports.


18.3km distributed in 5 blue, 4 red and 2 black slopes. A small ski resort, although with descents up to 800m.
It's a pretty easy ski resort. Almost all the main slopes are blue and the red ones are not difficult. In addition, black slopes are very short.
Rosshütte distributes its slopes of different difficulties, between two unique hill sides.
Both the train and the funicular that goes up to Seefelder Joch are old and slow, moreover they have a frequency of approximately 15 minutes. The chair lifts and ski tow are correct. The organization and proper functioning of the skiing carpets in the beginner zone stand out positively.
The adult price per day is 43.50€ in high season, very expensive. There is also a pass for all ski resorts of Seefeld, Happy Ski Card, for only 44.50€. It is quite worthwhile, because paying one more euro you can visit several ski resorts in a single day, which is possible since they are all quite small and connected by free buses.
Seefeld town can be reached by train and from there Rosshütte can be accessed by free buses or walking approximately 15 minutes. The access by car is also easy, by the road 177 that connects Innsbruck with Garmisch.
Rosshütte does not have indicated freeride options, although you can explore the forest area. Especially in the area near slopes 6 (Härmeleabfahrt) and 7 (Reitheralmabfahrt). Under the cable car C (Härmelekopfbahn) we also find a huge area where you can enjoy different couloirs and trails of higher difficulty.
Rosshütte is located in an area of low mountains with much forest, it is very nice to ski among forest. The views towards the village of Seefeld are very beautiful, with the whole valley and the mountains around it. In addition, from Seefelder Joch we can enjoy the views towards Scharnitz and the closest mountains, such as Seefelder Spitze.
Seefeld town is known internationally and has many amenities and good atmosphere. In addition, you can perform other sports, it has a swimming pool, ice skating rink, cross-country skiing trails and biathlon and ski jump. In addition, the nocturnal descents through the forest by the slope 6b are awesome.

The best:

  • The views are very nice.
  • The beginner’s area has skiing carpets of different difficulties, to progress little by little.
  • The Reitheralmbahn area is more difficult and is usually quieter.
  • Going down from Seefelder Joch to the bottom, passing through multi-level slopes.
